Friday Nov 21st from 5:30pm, Lights on at 6pm!

Ireland’s largest Christmas festival will officially open in Waterford City on Friday Nov 21st as we switch on of the Christmas lights with Mayor of Waterford City & County Cllr. Séamus Ryan, and of course Santa.  Santa’s elves have tipped us off that Santa has been practicing his singing and dancing in preparation! Best place to see this event is by the Carousel in John Roberts Square

WLR FM will be on hand to broadcast the event live, and there’ll be entertainment provided from Glenn Murphy from 5:30pm. Join us for what is sure to be a magical afternoon’s entertainment, and help us with the countdown to the big Switch On of the Christmas Lights!

-The first screening of Winterval Illuminates will take place at 6:30pm in Cathedral Square
-The Winterval Christmas Market will be open until 8pm
-Santa's Giant Disco Postbox will be bopping every half hour until 8pm in Arundel Square
-Glow Garden, powered by Encon, will be open until 8pm
