Winterval’s elves have started preparing for Santa!

The elves are busy preparing for the arrival of Santa at the 2022 Winterval festival, which will take place for the 10th year from November 18th to December 23rd.

Overflowing with festive cheer, ‘Santa's Central Station' will land right in the middle of Michael Street, in the heart of Waterford City Centre.

A band of merry elves will lead little ones to the door of Santa's magical cabin and families can meander through Santa's city centre installation, taking pictures with photo scenes along the way.

The all-new 'Santa's Central Station' is attractively priced, where up to two adults go free, and visitors to the main man have the option of taking their own photos. Optional printed photos are also available for an additional fee.

At the Festival there will be plenty to see and do before you even head to Santa Claus. The festival organisers are planning the ultimate 10th birthday celebration with new yet-to-be-revealed special festival experiences.

Some of the festival’s firm favourites will return, including the Waterford Illuminates, Ice Skating, and the Winterval Cabin Market.

Commenting on the festival planning Winterval Festival co-director John Grubb says:

“We have a very exciting, new and re-invented Winterval festival programme in the works. We are very excited to be leading the direction of the 10th annual festival our plan is to create the ultimate 10thbirthday in Waterford this Christmas."
