For younger visitors, the Winterval Circus presents a captivating show filled with acrobats, clowns, and festive performances that will leave children wide-eyed with wonder during a 1-hour show. Tickets are affordably priced, with a family of four able to attend for just €40, making it an accessible and enjoyable experience for all.

Children can also visit Santa at Winterval, located in the magical 12th-century caverns beneath Waterford's Medieval Museum. Here, they can meet Santa, share their Christmas wishes, and enjoy a sensory-friendly environment designed to delight all ages.

The Glow Fairylight Garden offers a serene and enchanting space where families can wander through illuminated pathways, surrounded by sparkling lights and festive decorations. This tranquil setting provides a perfect backdrop for family photos and moments of reflection.

A new highlight this year is Snowball Play Fun, an indoor inflatable snowball dome located on Bailey’s New Street in the Viking Triangle. For just €2 per person, families can enjoy a playful snowball fight—without the frostbite! Soft, safe snowballs fill the dome, creating a joyful, laughter-filled experience perfect for kids and adults alike. No prebooking is required, making it a spontaneous and fun stop for every visitor.

Another delightful addition is the Gingerbread Making Workshops, held on all festival dates.
