It’s that time of year again, with the dark nights drawing in and the scent of cinnamon in the air.
Now that Winterval has truly kicked off for 2019, Waterford Crafts will be opening this Friday, 29 November for its 36th Christmas Craft Fair! This year’s fair will showcase art and craft products from 45 local and south east based talented members with some new crafts and members to add to the already amazing selection of products available each year.
The Craft Fair opens with a fabulous welcome offer of 10% off every purchase made on the first day. This year there will be an opportunity to “Meet the Maker” on Sunday, 1 December. Here you can linger in the warm welcoming surroundings of Garter Lane and chat with the Craft members themselves, taste the delicious treats, and sample some of the natural skincare products. Jack Kennedy, Senior Classical Guitar Feis Ceoil Winner 2018, will entertain while he showcases his classical guitar talent from 12.30pm to 1.30 pm.
Open daily from the 29th November to 23rd December inclusively; the products on offer are diverse and wide-ranging. From exquisite jewellery to stained glass, mosaics and crochet to porcelain art forms, beautifully soft velvet scarves to beeswax candles and tasty chocolates to delicate organic skin care, the wares available are vast and cater to every need. Whether it’s a Christmas gift for a loved one or a well-deserved present for yours truly, there is an option for everybody covering every budget imaginable.
So, visit the Garter Lane Arts Centre on O’Connell Street this festive season and get in the mood for Christmas. Open from 10am to 5:30pm Monday to Saturday and 12 noon to 5:30pm on Sundays, the Christmas Craft Fair extravaganza in Garter Lane is open for business every day from Friday, 29 November.
